Voltage Input Triggered Remote Control Design to Applying to Device Control another Device

Someone said he needs a device that can connect to an existing 110V light switch. When the light switch is ON, the device sends a wireless signal to another 110V outlet to turn on a light that is plugged into that outlet. When the 110V light switch is OFF, the device turns the outlet off.
One voltage input triggered remote control set came up in my mind. CB-2V,  the characteristic of the transmitter CB-2V will be triggered by DC power 5~28V input.
I tried to give a demonstration of that remote control set to show how it works.
Material preparation:
1 x transmitter, CB-2V
1 x receiver, S1X-AC220-ANT2
2 x lights
1 x adaptor
1 x power strip
Power supply

Let’s see the wiring procedure.
Step 1
I connected the transmitter to the 12V adaptor and pluged lamp 2 to power strip. Then pluged the transmitter to power strip.
Step 2
I connected lamp 1 to the receiver and connected the plug to the receiver.

When pressing the button on the power strip, the lamp is on and the transmitter CB-2V sends a wireless signal “ON” to the receiver S1X-AC220-ANT2, it will make another lamp on.

When pressing the button on the power strip again, the lamp is off and transmitter CB-2V sends a wireless signal “OFF” to the receiver S1X-AC220-ANT2, it turns another lamp off.

How to Operate Swimming Pool Light and Pool Pump with Toggle Mode Remote Control Kit

More and more families have swimming pools in their houses or villas. They can swim in the scorching summer with joy. Surely, when the night falls, swimming pool will become more beautiful with lighting. In addition, there is usually swimming pool pump for drawing water into the swimming pool. We always switch them on and off one by one. It is not convenient to do so. To remote control them is a great idea for us. Most of us want to be able to control both independently using one remote control with multiple button.

Using this rf 2 channels toggle remote control set is very favorable for this situation.
Pool light and pool pump can be controlled by two different relays independently and they won’t have interference for each other. Toggle mode makes that each button on the transmitter can only control one device.
Here shows the demonstration.
Material preparation:
1×transmitter
1×receiver
1×light
1×AC motor
Power supply
We make sure wire the correct relay to the corresponding device. Paired with relay 1, AC motor connects to the L&N terminals of relay 1 on the receiver. Likewise, the light connects to the L&N terminals of relay 2 on the receiver. The receiver should be powered.

Pressing button 1, the motor rotates.

Pressing button 1 again, the motor stops rotating.

Pressing button 2, the light is turned on.

Pressing button 2 again, the light is turned off.

Long Range Automatic Water Pumping System

Recently, I found a product which is specially designed for controlling the water pump motor. It is long range automatic water pumping system.

There are some remarkable characteristics of this new product. The supplier add external extend antenna which makes the transmitting distance of this system as long as 2000m. There are two operation methods of this remote controller. The first method is to control water pump motor with manual controller. The second method is to control water pump motor automatically by two mini water level sensors.
The manual operation is fairly easy. When pressing the big button of the transmitter, CB-2, the “ON” signal will be sent to the receiver. The receiver will instruct water pump motor to pump water into the tank. When pressing the small button of the transmitter, CB-2, the “OFF” signal will be sent to the receiver. The receiver will instruct water pump motor to stop pumping water.
Pumping water automation by water level sensors is the highlight of this product. The key technology is the transmitter, CB-2N-2, which is designed to have 3 external wires. They named them wire 1, wire 2 and wire 3. The three wires will be connected to two mini water level sensors.
Let’s show you how it works.
First step, it is installation.
Put the water level sensor 1 downwards and install at the low water level position; Put the water level sensor 2 upwards and install at the high water level position.

Two wires of the water level sensor 1 are connected to wire 1 and wire 3 of transmitter CB-2N-2.
Two wires of the water level sensor 2 are connected to wire 2 and wire 3 of transmitter CB-2N-2.

Motor should be connected to A&B terminal and L&N terminal of receiver S1PUA-AC220-ANT2.

Second step:
When water reaches the low water level, two wires of the water level sensor 1 is connected and the transmitter is triggered. The transmitter will send an ‘ON”’ signal to the receiver. The receiver will instruct the water pump motor to pump water into the tank.

When water reaches the high water level, two wires of the water level sensor 2 is connected and the transmitter is triggered. The transmitter will send an “OFF” signal to the receiver. The receiver will instruct the water pump motor to stop pumping water.

One to Many Remote Control System

Lisa is an electrical supervisor for Lighting Services Company. They are a big installer of festive lighting and have been asked by some of their clients if they can supply remote switch to turn on and off all the lights which are controlled at the same time. She needed 1 transmitter and 8 receivers all working on the same channel. The receivers will need to 240v and be capable of controlling 980 watts lights totally. She wondered if there is a system with one transmitter and 8 receiver units with antenna.
So she was looking for any favorable products on the internet. She found a kind of one to many remote control system.
This control system operating voltage is AC110~240V. It is very favorable for this customer’s need.
They are long range remote control kit.
Lisa wanted to prepare 1 transmitter and 8 receivers to control 8 lights simultaneously like the following picture.

Each of receivers will be paired with a light.
Wiring operation is fairly simple. Lisa told me the method which the supplier showed to her.
Wires from light are supposed to be connected to the output terminal of the receiver. We do it one by one. And receivers must be all powered by 240V power supply.
Here is the demonstration from the supplier.

Pressing the big button, 2 lights will be turned on simultaneously.

Pressing the small button, 2 lights will be turned off at the same time.

Remote Control 3 Phase Power Water pump

My friend has a pump that supplies his farm with water. The motor on the pump is 3.5kw and is 3 phase power. The pump fills a 5000 litre tank which lasts about a day. The on-off switch is roughly 1000m away from his house (no line of sight, lots of trees in-between). Recently, he wanted to know would he be able to connect it to the switch so that he can switch the pump on and off from home 1000m away? Why didn’t he choose remote control system to control the water pump?
I thought the method was feasible for him. So I suggested that he should buy a long range remote control system.
After several days, he showed me his device and installation.
With external extend antenna, this remote control unit can be long range controller. Transmitting distance is about 1000m. But how to remote control 3 phase power water pump? Besides the transmitter and receiver, we should prepare a relay which is applied to the pump, my friend told me. Here is the relay.

Let’s see how to install and operate.
Step 1, the relay should be connected to the receiver. Then three live wires are connected to the relay and power supply.
Step 2, another three live wires to connect the relay and water pump.
Step 3, power to the receiver. Pressing the big button of the transmitter, the receiver will receive an “ON” signal to instruct the reply and pump to pump water into the tank. Pressing the small button of the transmitter, the receiver will receive an “OFF” signal to instruct the reply and pump stop pumping water.
